Suite 3 at Indica Hemp House with a luxurious gold color scheme, featuring a king-size bed, bedside lighting, USB charging ports, lake views, and an elegant ensuite for a comfortable and upscale stay.

Indica Hemp House is just a 3-hour drive south of Perth, Western Australia. It is relatively new and opened for bookings in September 2023. It has been built to be very Eco-friendly and sustainable. 90% of the house features burnished polished concrete floors. 30% of our walls are natural hempcrete walls. The rest of the internal walls have a micro acrylic clay render ultra-smooth troweled finish. Marbellino plaster walls are featured in the ensuites.

The Details

SUSTAINABILITY

This house is very energy efficient achieving an 8.7/10 for the National House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS). You’ll find it warm in Winter and cool in Summer. This is due to the Passive Solar design and the thermal characteristic of the hempcrete construction.

We have our own water supply solely sourced from our water tank, which is further filtered and UV treated. It tastes delicious and pure when drinking, as well as providing an ULTIMATE soft water showering experience.

We have a large solar panel array with battery backup. This means you will ALWAYS have power. This is a major advantage in the South West during storms etc. We love the fact that we will supply the majority of our power from the sun!

We don’t supply any single-use plastics here either and we even use compostable Nespresso pods.

The house uses 2 heat pumps. This is the most energy efficient way to heat water. It also uses an Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU) or Secondary Treatment System (STU). This system biologically processes our waste water into gray water. We use this gray water on our gardens.

KITCHEN/DINING/LIVING

Ceilings in the kitchen, dining, and living area are raked. They angle up to the north wall. This design maximises the winter sunlight to the room. Massive glass sliding doors open up the living room to the outside decking and the beautiful lake view.

The kitchen features all-black appliances. It includes a large 90cm induction cooking hob and a 90cm underbench oven. There is also a dishwasher. We supply ample crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment to please the most enthusiastic chef. We offer a Nespresso machine with complimentary Eco-pods.

The Marri dining table allows for 8 diners. The living area easily seats up to 10 with our leather sofas, side wall seating, and occasional chairs.

Amenities provided include dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponges, and tea towels. We also offer rubbish bags, olive oil, hemp seed oil, salt, and pepper. Additionally, you will find teabags, coffee pods, and sugar sachets. We supply plastic food wrap, foil, paper towels, and serviettes.

BEDROOM SUITES

Our bedroom suites are all master bedrooms! They feature a king size bed, occasional furniture, built in robes, and ensuites. They are spacious and modern, with bedside USB charging, bedside reading pendants, and dimmable room lighting. All suites look out over water views. Sliding doors open onto a deck from the suite, where you’ll find a personal outdoor setting to relax in.

We can cater for 8 adults total. It’s also possible to accommodate one extra child on a Fold-a-Bed at $50 per stay and $50 per night. For infants we have a Port-a-Cot at $25 per stay as well.

Quality linen and towels are included, and provided by a linen service.

Our booking structure allows for a cost reduction if your guest numbers are 6 or under. So you only pay for the bedroom suites you need. Please make sure you enter the correct number of guests that will be staying at booking.


We assign 2 guests to a bedroom (unless there’s an odd number). If you’d like extra or all suites to be available, there will be an extra fee. For example, you can have 1 person per suite if your booking is 6 guests or under. There will be a $100 per extra suite fee (per booking) to cover the extra cleaning/linen/setup costs. Please let us know AT BOOKING if you need extra suites made up. Unneeded bedrooms will be locked. Please inform us at check-in if you need extra suites. We may not be able to facilitate this on the same day. There will be a callout fee charged for the caretaker.

We offer complimentary premium quality locally handcrafted hemp shampoo. We also provide hemp conditioner, hemp body wash, and hemp hand soap for your use in our ensuites.

CINEMA ROOM

We have a unique cinema room that will instantly relax you. Our Boronup Forest photo wall is a beautiful feature to the back of the room. We have a 98 inch 4K QLED Android TV on the front wall with accompanying Soundbar and Subwoofer. The ceiling is lined in beautiful natural Blackbutt timber.

A deep green velvet modular lounge invites you to lay back. Enjoy your favourite TV shows or a new movie.

OUTDOOR SPA & DECKING

The pièce de résistance of this stunning accommodation is our 10 seat hydrotherapy Titanium Vortex spa. It features comfortable seating, 54 jets, and three jet pumps. There are two bench seats and three back massage seats. It includes a therapy seat with the famous Vortex™ neck and shoulder collar. There are also two cool-down seats. Multiple water features and lighting options are available. The spa is situated semi-sunk into the deck just outside the living room. You will spend hours enjoying the view of the dam and surrounding land. You’ll definitely enjoy the stars at night! We supply plastic wine and champagne glasses for you to use in the spa.

We have a large outdoor dining/lounge setting that easily seats 8.

FIREPIT

Weather permitting, our firepit is available for your use during the Winter months.

LAUNDRY

We have a washing machine (with detergent provided) and dryer as well as a steam iron and ironing board.

We supply cleaning supplies including a broom, mop and bucket.

GARAGE

We have a remote control roller door on our double garage and ample parking onsite for several more cars.

We are Electric Vehicle (EV) friendly. Our Tesla Gen 3 Destination Charger is powered by our 3 phase. It is FREE for guest use.
